The volume of investment attracted by residents of the Ingria business incubator exceeded 100 million rubles

Based on the totals of 3 quarters of 2011, the resident of the Ingria business incubator have attracted investments amounted to a total sum of  113.35 million rubles. This indicator exceeded the total volume of investment attracted by the residents of the incubator during all of 2010 (102.7 million rubles).

In total, 70 residents have been registered at the business incubator for the beginning of October.

"This year, our residents have already attracted investment from both major international companies and private business angels," Said the general director of the Ingria Technopark, Anton Potapov. "The increasing attractiveness of the residents of the business incubator for investors is reflecting on their operational activities; the number of many clients working with the companies has increased, and the orders for their products are not limited to Russian territory, which indicates the significant role export production plays in their operations.

In September, 5 new companies became residents of the business incubator:

·         project Seemap, which selects the optimal route on public transportation;

·         the LANK project, a networked, single channel, reconfigurable multimedia HDTV camera;

·         "Living Machines" the creation of gaming forming constructions;

·         the "FastRecruit" project an integrated online database of job seekers;

·         the "hydraulic accumulators of increased efficiency" 

The Ingria business incubator is currently continuing to develop a partnership program with the leading institutions of higher learning of Russia and Saint Petersburg, I2U. Cooperation agreements have been signed with 5 institutions: Saint Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg University of Management and Economics, the Academy of Management and Economics, the Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications and the Pacific National University. Plans call for including 4 more institutions in the program by the end of the year, and the take it abroad in the beginning of next year.

In September, Ingria business incubator began the "Turn-Key Incubator" program, which calls for the commercial transfer of the business incubator’s experience to other regions.

The Ingria business incubator is a piece of Saint Petersburg’s innovation infrastructure, a platform for supporting beginning entrepreneurs, the goal of which is to help startups to develop to the point of receiving financing and entering the market. The business incubator was launched in December 2008 as a structural subdivision of "Saint Petersburg Technopark" OJSC. The incubator provided a broad spectrum of services for attracting experts and methods, access to informational bases, required confirmation of the project’s success, team formation and the presentation of project to investor companies and potential clients.
