The Ingria Technopark became one of the outstanding participants in the Petersburg International Innovation Forum
The Ingria Technopark became one of the active participants in the IV Petersburg International Innovation Forum, which was held in Saint Petersburg from September 28 to September 30. As part of the exhibition, the Technopark presented the products of 12 residents of the Ingria business incubator and conducted 15 presentation and discussion events at its organization stand, organized the "Evolution of Robots: from Industry to Everyday Life", with preparatory flash mobs, and also signed an agreement with the "Idea Southeast" Technopark from the Republic of Tatarstan.
One of the main promoters of the Ingria was a robot, who spent the first two days of the event at the exhibit area and talked to visitors. In particular, he got wit have a word with the vice governor of Saint Petersburg, Mikhail Oseevskiy. The robot promoter was photographed with hundred of participants in the exhibit and also became the hero of many television programs and publications.
Projects developed by 12 residents of the Ingria business incubator were presented at the exhibition stand and a discussion area and a Kinect Zone, organized by Microsoft were also available. The residents’ products attracted mass attention from the visitors. For example the line for the "Quantum Technologies" Company’s emotion scanner practically never got smaller. As a result, more than 700 people scanned their emotions over the three days of the Forum. Another resident, the "ELEK" Company, invited visitors to the exhibit to exercise on special cardio training machine. While the exhibit was open, 100 people did so. With the help of the Evaphone service of the Webvoice Company, visitors were able to call anywhere in the world, an opportunity that many of them used. For example, calls were placed from the Technopark’s stand to the United States, China, Spain and other countries.
A serious contribution to attracting attention to Ingria’s stand was made by the promoters, who distributed balloons with quotes from great people, and the participants in the special flash mobs. Only these programs made it possible to draw to attention of more than 1,000 visitors to the stand.
- "The residents got the maximum practical use from the exhibit," says the general director of the Ingria Technopark, Anton Potapov, "they tested their products with a mass audience, found new clients and attracted the attention of investors. For the Ingria technopark and the business incubator, in addition to attracting potential residents, it was an opportunity to form new relationships with by foreign representatives of the investment industry, and with innovative investment infrastructure of other regions of Russia."
On the second day of the forum September 29, the Ingria Technopark signed a cooperation agreement with the "Idea-Southeast" innovation/production technopark. The parties plan to organize comfortable technology transfer between the residences of the two technoparks. In the near future, the partners will already begin to implement the first projects under the aegis of the recently signed agreement. On the same day, the Technopark organized a conference entitled "the Evolution of Robots: from Industry to Everyday Life". The event was visited by more than 100 people, and the presented conducted an analysis of the status of robotics in Russia at the present time, and also attempted to create a forecast its development over the next decade. Very diverse aspects of robots, from industrial robots to unmanned aerial vehicles and exoskeletons were discussed. Representatives of such companies as the Central Scientific/Research and Test/Construction Institute of Robotics and Technical Cybernetics, Alpha Smart Systems, 3D Technology, Bigrobot and others served as speakers.
On September 30, the Ingria business incubator held a discussion on the topic "Startups: life after investment", at its exhibition stand, where several residents of the incubator who had already attracted investment, shared their experience of implementing projects at the post-investment stage. After the discussion, the traditional StartupLynch was held in the presentation zone of the forum, where companies aspiring to the status of residents presented their projects to the business incubator’s consultants. These projects included a video-storefront, screen less display, panoramic video projection and service for football fans and a comment service.
Based on initial counts, all of the Technopark’s activities at the Innovation Forum attracted the attention of half of its visitors and participants.
